Bootleg City: Black Sabbath in '74

And on the seventh day, Mayor Matt Wardlaw shared Cannabis Confusion

Bootleg City: Black Sabbath in '74
The tale of the tape

Hello again, fine citizens of Bootleg City! It's hard to believe it's already been a month since the last time we dipped into the vaults, but time flies when you're having fun — which is particularly true this week, given that New Music Friday was a day late on account of yours truly taking his kids to the beach on Friday. Better late than never, right? Or at least that's what I tried to tell Mayor Matt Wardlaw before he threw his fourth bowl of Cocoa Puffs at me and stalked off to watch Judge Judy repeats. Absolute power corrupts, people. Never forget that.

Speaking of absolute power, today's gift from the ol' bootleg stockpile comes to us courtesy of the fellows in Black Sabbath. Recorded on April 6, 1974 during California Jam, this 13-song set — sold as Cannabis Confusion — should kick your ass hard enough to make you forget the Forbidden album for an hour or so. Here's the track listing:

"Tomorrow's Dream"
"Sweet Leaf"
"Killing Yourself to Live"
"War Pigs"
"Snowblind"
"Sabra Cadabra"
"Supernaut Part 1"
"Supernaut Part 2"
"Supernaut Part 3"
"Iron Man"
"Sabra Cadabra (reprise)"
"Paranoid"
"Children of the Grave"
